This device belongs to a small group of real workhorses in the international maritime industry. It was manufactured for a period of more than 10 years with several updates, improvements and technical developments.

The devices were sold under a variety of brand names and appearances, including several different layouts and colours for the front panel keyboard: Examples are X-Pack (DS/US), X-Base, GlobalWatch, Bridgemate and others.

Upgrade from Nauticast AIS models to Nauticast A2

There comes a time when even the most reliable device needs replacement. For owners of any Nauticast AIS model the solution is quick and simple: Take advantage of our ready-made upgrade solution:

Specific upgrade sets that connect all existing cables directly to the new Nauticast A2 (data/sensor, GPS, VHF; with or without a connection box installed).; and
a special flush-mount frame for those who want to install the new Nauticast A2 in the same position as the current AIS. Please check the amount of space behind the panel before picking this option!
